I Got a Bee in My Bonnet

My mind is forever thinking of new projects that I want to do. Sometimes the ideas get to "buzzin" around so fast that I feel like I have bees swarming around in my head. This saying actually came from my grandmother. She used to say, when she had an idea about how to do something, "I got a bee in my bonnet and I couldn't rest until I got it out." So, when I think of something new I want to do, I can't rest until I get that bee out of my bonnet. Ü

She's in His presence now!

Aunt Letha passed from this life into the presence of her Lord around 4 AM this morning. She is now out of all the pain and suffering and rejoicing with her Lord, family and freinds who were there waiting for her.

My Aunt Letha...

Tonight my Aunt Letha is nearing the end of her life. She fell several weeks ago and broke a vertebrae in her neck and has been in the hospital ever since that time. She had surgery to fuse the vertebrae and was doing pretty well afterward. However, last Sunday night she suffered a stroke and heart attack. There has not been any improvement over this last five days. The doctor said that best case scenario if she did come out of this would be that she would not be able to talk, nor use her right arm. She would need to be cared for the rest of her life. Since there has been no improvements or changes, the boys have decided that she would not want to be left like this. They have agreed to withdraw all medicines other than for pain and let what will be, happen. Please be in prayer for all of them. It has been very difficult for them to see their mother in this condition. Seeing her unable respond to them or any other stimuli is heart breaking. She was always so full of life and forever carrying on something with those around her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends when God sees fit to call her on home.

From my Sweet Valentine....

Aren't they gorgeous!! My sweet and thoughtful husband sent them to me at school yesterday. He is always so caring and selfless. I really don't deserve such a wonderful man, but I sure am glad God brought us together over 35 years ago! What blessing to have a man who is faithful to me and to His Lord and Savior. What a godly example he is of love, compassion and self-denial. He is always looking out for my best interest. And he has always allowed me to be me...in all my independence. He has never been threatened by that, but rather appreciates my capabilities and encourages me to pursue my goals. He is also a wonderful dad to our girls and a super Papaw to Camryn. I am very thankful for my Sweet Valentine and what he has meant to me in my life!

4th Folder in...4th picture...

OK...here are the rules...go to your 4th folder of pictures and go to the 4th picture...upload it and tell the story behind it.

This picture was taken when we took Camryn to Birmingham with us over Christmas. Her Great-grandpa has played the violin for around 70 years and given lessons for a good part of that time. In this picture he was giving Camryn some instruction on a three-quarter violin. It was a little big for her but she was very intrigued with the instrument and was actually able to get a decent sound from it. If you notice both she and her great-grandpa are both smiling. What a priceless moment! He is 85 and she was 6 at the time. A generational Kodak moment. Sorry to break the rules but I had to include this shot of Camryn and Papaw..Such a priceless precious moment.

Junior Miss NexStar!!!!

Camryn's second competition of the season was the NexStar Competition held at Robinson Auditorium today. We only entered her solo and duet dances. This competition has 3 categories for the dancers: PreStar Level, NewStar Level and NexStar Level which has harder scoring. Ms. Marisa and Ms. Karen both felt Camryn could hold her own with the dancers in the NexStar Level. So, Andrea had her entered in that category. She also entered her in the competition for Junior Miss NexStar. With the girls from our studio that were competing for that title we were cautiously optimistic about Camryn's chances of being selected for the title...BUT, I guess Ms. Karen and Ms. Marisa knew what they were talking about because...
SHE WON THE TITLE OF
JUNIOR MISS NEXSTAR!!!She will get her picture included in the NexStar Program as a result of being chosen for this title.
She and Callen are waiting on the awards ceremony to begin.

Here is the list of her awards and rankings for the day:
